 Calcutta Cine Pvt. Ltd (company) is a
joint venture between the Bengal Ambuja Group with its associates and Consolidated
Entertainment Pvt. Ltd (CEPL). CEPL is managing the affairs of the company.Mr.Harshavardhan
Neotia is the Chairman while Mr.Debashis Ghosal is the Managing Director
and CEO of the Company.Mr.Vikash Saraf and Mr.Sanjay Sethia are the
other Directors.The company is
one of the pioneer corporates in the Indian cinema exhibition industry.
'89 Cinemas'- Swabhumi, on the EM Bypass, in the
city of Kolkata is the Company's first multiplex. '89 Cinemas'-Swabhumi
has (i) Four cinema halls (ii) cine-club (iii) mini video games parlour
and (iv) fooderies and concessionaires counters along-with sufficient
car parking area. The exit through the Swabhumi- The heritage Plaza
enhances the wholesome experience of the patrons visiting 89 cinemas.
The Company's second multiplex has opened
in Dreamplex, CityCentre, Durgapur. The multiplex is a part of a
shopping mall and has three screens.
To facilitate the convenience of the
customer the Company has a fully integrated computerized ticketing
system, and web-enabled ticketing, telephone booking facilities, ticket
home delivery facilities, ticket booking facilities from the "In & Out"
retail stores at the Bharat Petroleum Petrol Pumps.
The company is due to open the following
multiplexes shortly:
1) Salkia, Howrah (West Bengal)- 4
screens
2) Hazra, Kolkata (West Bengal)- 4 screens
